Above and below are photos of Ron Davis in his Officer Cadet Training Unit (OCTU).

Regiments training with this unit came from all over (all of which have signed the back of this group photo): the Essex Regiment, the Royal Horse Artillery, New Zealand Expeditionary Force, the Australian Infantry Force, the Royal Tank Regiment, the 7th Hussars, the Kings Royal Rifle Corps and the Royal Artillery. This reflects some of the great fighting units which served with the Eighth Army at this time.
